Noone has been out because of the NE winds and cold water temps(35) but it looks like this week we might get a break!!!!

Jan. 29th

We fished on the Super Sport with 15 other TFer's and had a great time despite the lack of catching and many tangles. I ended up with 15 seabass and my first paper of the year going 5-4oz.

Jan.26th

We fished Corolla light back to Cape Henry with one 22" fish caught. Slow day for everyone except the guys who fished out 8-10 miles off of Corolla. The only bait marks all day were at CH in 25' of water on the way back home but no takers.

 Jan. 22nd

Fishing has been pretty slow the past few weeks due to a cold front and crappy weather. Some 40 to 60 lb. fishing are finally getting caught off the oceanfront.

Dec. 11th

We fished the 1st annual Toys for Tots tournament and finished in 5th place. Jennifer took 1st place in the Women's division witha 26 lb striper. Fish were caught at the high rise bridge drifting live eels.

We ( Jeremy and Bruce) fished Cape Henry and caught  some nice stripers up to 32" . A ton of bait out there right now!! There was a real nice bite off of Dam Neck but we couldn't make the run due to prior engagements. Were gonna fish down sotuh tomorrow.

Nov.20th

We fished for bluefish 6 miles east of the CLT and came back with about 15 nice ones all over 30 ". We left the bite to go do some wreck fishing. We ended up hooking the Kingston and catching a few small seabass but we caught around 10 croaker over 2lbs. We also caught and released a 35" BFT out there also. The BFT's are out there thick, too bad the season shut down Fri. nite!!!!

Nov. 19th

No more offshore fishing!!! 1130pm tonight BFT season is closed!!!

Nov. 18th

We fished the CLT area for BFT with not a whol;e lot of luck but there is a ton of bait about 4 miles east of the tower. Lots of stripers, blues and BFT's in that area. We fished the Gulf Hustler for seabass and loaded up a cooler full and caught citation #4 for myself this year, a 14-4 oz. tog!!!!

Nov. 17th

We fished the same area as Monday night and picked ups some more nice ones between  30 "and 38" on live eels.

Nov. 15th

We fished the highrise area with live eels and caught 5 stripers between 39 and 43 1/2 ". This past weeks nor'easter blew them in!!!!

Nov.7th

Too windy to go out for BFT's so we stayed inshore and fished the 4th and then the 2nd on the Plumbob II again. We picked up a ton of schoolies around the 4th and managed a 26"er  at the 2nd.

Nov. 6th

We fished the 4th island before daybreak on the Plumbob II and picked up some very nice stripers on light tackle. A 36",34" and a 32"er. You know its a good day when you fill the big fish slot first. No luck with the togs at 4th or CHW. We picked up a nice one at the "honey hole" and managed to get 3rd place in the Taylor's Landing tourney!!!!

Oct. 31st

We fished the islands for stripers at daybreak aboard Plumbob II and we managed to catch a few nice ones at daybreak on topwater. No luck with the togs though.

Oct. 30th

We fished the 3rd island at daybreak with live croakers and caught some pretty nice blues. Some nice tog were getting caught at the islands and we pulled a 6-9 oz. tog off ODU reef, 1/2" short of citation(22 1/2").

Oct. 28th

The wind finally stopped blowing so we made a trip out for schoolie stripers. They were popping all around around 10:30 and we caught plenty until our hands got tired. Also, the lunar eclipse was tonight, what an awesome sight!!!

Oct. 24th

Some very nice togs are starting to show up around inshore wrecks and the islands. The big spot are also still here inside Lynnhaven inlet and the speckled trout bite is very hot in there also. And the bluefin tuna are starting to show up around the Triangles!!!! The stripers bite is hot and heavy at the MMBT and the HRBT.

Oct.13

We fished the Balt. channel afterwork again and the nice flounder are still migrating out of the bay. We caught 4 fish in about an hour and a half with the 2 biggest going 22 inches. The stripers are starting to show at the CBBT pretty good while the water is boiling with stripers at the HRBT at night right now.

Oct.9

We drifted bouy 11 and 12 in the Balt. channel for flounder and ended up catching 7 nice keepers and 6 throwbacks. Biggest flounder went 7 lbs. Fished the spine at the 3rd island and the Big D and ended up with a ton of seabass and even caught a spadefish.

Oct.4

 Bay Striper season starts today!!!!!

Oct.2

We had intentions of heading out for amberjack and kings but the 4-6 fters. at Cape Henry changed our mind. We went back into Long Creek around 7am and ended up with 2 citation spot in less than 30 minutes. Fished  the Big D and picked up some seabass and headed in before the bad storms got us.

Sept.25

We fished HRBT from about 8pm to 2am on the outgoing tide. Water was pretty dirty at first but we did manage to pick a couple of grays, some schoolie stripers and all the bluefish that you wanted . Those big grays oughta be here real soon.

Sept. 24

There are record numbers of citation spot being caught everywhere from Monitor Merrimac, HRBT, carrier piers at NOB and Long Creek.  Long Bay Point weighed in over 80 citations in 4 days. Bloodworm on Bearpaw circle hooks is the ticket!!!

Sept.23

Fished Long Creek for spot this morning and  the boat ended up with 3 papers. Headed out to 2nd island and caught a 2-12oz. croaker and some flatties. No luck on the sheeps this time.

Sept. 20th

There were alot of citation spot caught today in Lynnhaven inlet. That nor'easter must have blew a ton of the big uns in this weekend. Good luck!!!!

Sept. 11, 2004

We fished the CCA Angler's Challenge for Team Tidalfish. Our boat managed to catch 7 nice speckled trout (the biggest at 4.36) and some nice spot(the biggest at .88 oz.) from the Elizabeth River. All the boats weighed in a ton of fish, just couldn't find those trophy fish that we were looking for.
